Is there any way to submit a WARC crawl of my site to be sure it gets to the Wayback machine? I'm currently uploading it to the opensource collection and web mediatype.

Did your content ever turn up in Wayback?

Hello, I've never checked because I think that if they need it they will get to it at some point (nothing gets really lost here) and if they don't need it then it's ok.

However I just checked and that May 2012 probably was included in the machine, because I see a lot of pages crawled on the dates of my WARC. A WARC I uploaded in March has not yet been included (http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://wikitech.wikimedia.org/* , limit to 100, sort by "to" date, reach what's currently page 12 – or sort by "from" date, in this case –: almost nothing between January and March 2013). This is however very recent, too recent for the machine, although they have removed the 6 months embargo for their crawls.

IA would probably be wary of adding the user added archives as how could they verify that the archive uploaded has not been tampered with? They would have to add another field to their records: the source of the particular archive, and they would have to display it with every page shown on the Wayback Machine.

I recently heard that, at least for ArchiveTeam members, one way is to get their item moved (by an admin of the powerful kind) in a collection under archiveteam collection.
